Twinning with Clifton High School

On October 11 2011 the Primary section of Clifton High School and DongFengDongLu School in the Yuexiu district of Guangzhou signed a sister city school agreement.  Our liaison team, led by Penny Lee, facilitated this link working closely with Head, Mr Tony Richards.

A delegation of six from Guangzhou including the Head of DongFengDongLu Primary and Senior Officers from the Yuexiu District Education Department, were welcomed by the Deputy Lord Mayor of Bristol, Councillor Colin Smith.  Head, Tony Richards said "At the heart of this link are the children in our schools.  This new relationship will help to broaden their horizons and make learning more exciting.  They will be able to communicate with, and learn about, a different and fascinating culture, better preparing them for life in the increasingly global world of the 21st century."
