The BCP is very supportive of initiatives which enhance the understanding of language and culture and places tremendous emphasis upon establishing and developing educational links.  BCP is facilitating a number of School or College twinnings between institutions in Bristol and in Guangzhou and the wider Guangdong Province.  By becoming a member you can have access to native speakers who will help you to promote chinese culture and understanding to broaden your pupils and students horizons as global citizens.

The close links between the Sister Cities of Bristol and Guangzhou have been further strengthened by the establishment of a sister-school partnership between Clifton High School and DongFengDongLu Primary School.  

In advance of the signing ceremony, Head of Clifton High, Dr Alison Neill, said "This agreement will open the door to a pupil and staff dialogue about best educational practice and our cultural similarities and differences" and during the ceremony the Deputy Mayor of Yuexiu district in Guangzhou said "Thanks to the efforts of the Guangzhou Foreign Affairs Office and the Bristol China Patnership we witness the signing ceremony. I am sure the link will provide a wealth of opportunity for further exchanges and cooperation."
